Lake Travis Band Directors
Kenneth Vise is in his thirteenth year as Band Director at LTHS and enjoying his twenty-fifth year as a music educator. Mr. Vise holds undergraduate degrees in music education and music performance, and a Masters degree in music education with emphasis on conducting. Mr. Vise directs the Cavalier Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Ensembles. He continues to perform regularly on trumpet in the Central Texas area. visek@ltisdschools.org; (512) 533-6134
Lance Brightwell joins the Cavalier Band beginning with the 2008 Marching Season as Assistant Band Director/Percussion Instructor. Mr. Brightwell has served two years as Assistant Band Director at Midway High School and Middle School in Waco ISD. Please join us in welcoming Lance Brightwell to the Cavalier Band!
Sergio Ortiz is our Guard Instructor
for both Color Guard and Winter Guard.
Julia Windle is our Cymbal Line Instructor. Middle School Directors
Kevin Jedele is in his sixth year as Band Director at Lake Travis Middle School. Mr. Jedele previously taught in Eanes ISD, where he served as Assistant Band Director at Hill Country Middle School. He brings to us years of successful teaching experience and a wealth of knowledge and talent. Mr. Jedele is a graduate of the University of Texas, where he was a member of the Longhorn Band and the Wind Ensemble. He has worked as a musical instructor and camp coordinator for the Longhorn Music Camps. His primary instrument is trumpet, and he is a member of the Austin Symphonic Band. Kevin is married to Tania, and they have two young sons.
Tracy McElroy is serving his twenty-ninth year as a music educator and ninth year as Band Director at Hudson Bend Middle School. He has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education from Southwest Texas State. Mr. McElroy has served as Past President of TMEA Music Region 13 and has been on the State Board of Directors of the Texas Music Educators Association. His son, Taylor, is a Lake Travis High School graduate and daughter, Annie, is a sophomore in the Cavalier Band.
Ryan O'Donoghue
serves at both middle schools as assistant to Mr. McElroy and Mr. Jedele. Mr. O'Donoghue grew up in Plano and was drum major of the Plano
East Marching Panther Band. He was a National Merit Scholar and attended
Florida State University, from where he graduated in December of 2004. Mr. O'Donoghue is in his
fourth year as a professional music educator. His
primary instrument is clarinet and secondary is baritone. Private Lesson Information
